  Major congregational quake in Southern California

  this notice is not official yet and it should be confidential until released thru the proper channels.

  a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.

  the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

  Has Anything Really Changed For JWs In The Last 10 Years?

  There's been a truckload of doctrinal & teachings related changes over the past decade:

  1) Officially WT stated that type and anti-type rhetoric supposedly was going to end...although from time to time WT slips up & gets into speculation mode in its literature.

  2) JWs are no longer the Locusts of Joel 2 after decades & decades of this teaching. Locusts supposedly are now JW's enemies.

  3) The words 'mental regulating' at Ephesians 6:4 have been removed from WT's new silver bullet Bible. After decades, WT finally accepted the fact that parents shouldn't be regulating or programming a young mind like you do cruise control in your vehicle or the heater/AC thermostat in your home...dah! How many millions of damaged JW rank & file must there be who grew up with this 'mental regulating' cult-like indoctrination technique...sad!

  Wow...there's a great deal of good reading material in the above link.

  Interesting read about The Finished Mystery book...that it alone has an estimated 1,300 false interpretations of Bible scripture.

  You might get away with using the New Light argument like a get-out-of-jail-free excuse every once in a while...but 1,300 New Light excuses in one WT publication alone...I don't think so!

  My spin on what you said RubaDub:

  "So, you can't work for Babylon the Great as a carpenter even if it is your trade, but they can use brothers and sisters to give their time and materials freely and then sell it to Babylon The Great!"

  This practice of 'Mother' (WT) selling Kingdom Halls & Assembly Halls to her arch enemy who in turn will use X-Kingdom Hall/X-Assembly Hall to promote their own religion is the height of hypocrisy on Mother's part...to be sure!

  i can`t believe the tidbits i`m finding out about the changes ,dumbing down of the meetings i used to attend and participate in up until the late 1980`s ...

  Back in the day (late 80's) when a JW attended a midweek meeting...especially a brother...he would walk in loaded down with a brief case filled with a boatload of literature for that evening...All Scripture Inspired Book, The Reasoning Book, The (monthly) Kingdom Ministry, The Year Book, The Theocratic Ministry School Guide Book, Insight On The Scriptures (both volumes), a thick notepad & last but not least a Bible...all toll about 10 lbs of books & magazines in his bag!

  Today in 2019 that same brother (that's if he's still alive) has trashed his brief case along with that boatload of literature & strolls into midweek meetings with a smart phone a little bigger than a box of cigarettes tucked inside his coat...he's even trashed his hardbound Bible.

  My...how times have changed!

  Hope I didn't get too carried away smiddy 3!🤣

  i hear rumbling about the rank and file not having the same zeal they had when new.. lets see: door to door at the time least likely to find someone.

  Lack Of Zeal...there's nothing that's going to affect a JW's zest & gusto more than to...after decades of saying that Joel 2 (locusts) applied to JWs...then suddenly and abruptly as was mentioned at this past AGM to say that Joel 2 locusts applies to enemies of JWs! Even though I'm an 'etched in stone' PIMO JW...it was a WTF moment for me when I heard this 180° about-face announcement!

  The following statements from WT top brass are heard time and time again when a JW child molester is identified. They're beginning to sound like a broken record:

  As Jehovah’s Witnesses, we view child sexual abuse as an especially repugnant wicked deed.

  Child abuse has far-reaching consequences. It a?ects the victims as well as those who care about the victims —their family members and their Christian brothers and sisters.

  A child abuser hurts the child in devastating ways. He betrays the child’s trust, robbing the child of his or her security. Children must be protected from such a wicked deed, and those who have been victimized by it need comfort and help.

  The elders provide ongoing support to any individuals who may have been hurt. In addition, the elders remain alert regarding the alleged abuser to protect the congregation from potential danger.

  My main take-away from this announcement RubaDub is that if newly interested ones are hardly attending the weekend Public Talks & Watchtower Study meetings then there are far, far fewer newly interested ones attending midweek meetings. It has always been the case that weekend meetings always had highest attendance figures. So if weekend meetings are hurting attendance wise...then midweek meetings in a lot of congregations must be a ghost-town...cause not only are newly interested ones not attending...many of the rank & file must be absent as well!

  This is truly something to laugh about!🤣🤣🤣

  For obvious reasons the following announcement is intended for elders only:

  "2. In some most congregations, few newly interested ones are present at the weekend meeting. In such cases, the speaker may adapt the public talk to encourage the publishers in the congregation."

  If there's soo much Gawd-Damn growth in the JW conregatiions...why soo few newly interested ones attending meetings? By this announcement WT, in a way, explains/admits why there's congregation mergers, Kingdom Hall sell-offs and why there wouldn't/shouldn't be hardly any new Kingdom Halls being built.

  This organization shoots itself in the foot soo many times and in soo many ways!

  Thank you Petra...love your long hair BTW!
